As the physician-hospital organization for Summa Health System, Summa Health Network represents more than 1,200 physicians at the System’s member hospitals.

Summa Health Network contracts with regional and national payers (insurance companies, preferred provider organizations and third party administrators) on behalf of its physician and hospital members as a messenger model physician hospital organization.

It allows physician choice regarding participation in payer agreements.
